Keputusan Permohonan MRSM 2012 (MARA MRSM 2012 Result)

To those who applied Form 1 or Form 4 at Maktab Rendah  Sains Mara (MRSM) 2012, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) has announced that the result will be out on 20th January 2012

Result for Form 1 Program Ulul Albab and IGCSE is already out since 6th January 2012.

You may also check the MRSM result through SMS. Use the following SMS format MARA<space>MRSM<space>Angka Giliran and send to 15888. This method is only available for MRSM Form 1 2012 program

MRSM 2012 result is also available through online when the portal is open after announcement has been made by MARA at MARA Website

Every year, students who’ve completed their SPM, STPM, Pre-University and Diploma are faced with the worry of applying for the IPTA through UPU. This year, we decided to make things a little easier for you and publish a short step-by-step guide on what you have to do to apply for your dream course!

Step 1:
Buy a pin number from BSN.
* You can do it via ATM, online banking (through http://www.mybsn.com.my/) or SMS banking
* You can get a list of all the BSN ATM branches here: http://www.mybsn.com.my/mybsnweb/ccBranchLocator_add.do
* For more info on how to apply for the pin number, click here http://upu.mohe.gov.my/portal/epanduan/panduan_bsn.pdf
* The pin number will cost RM10.60 per person
* You will be given a Unique ID

Step 2:Go to the UPU website
* Click on the e-borang application which applies to you
* There are three categories:

15 Fascinating Academic Studies Done on Twitter

Three hundred million users, one billion tweets each week, and three thousand tweets per second. This thing called Twitter is blowing up. It's been five years since Jack Dorsey released the blue bird of social connectedness onto the scene, but it's only been fairly recently that tweeting has caught fire. The soaring popularity of the microblogging service has attracted the attention of researchers who have come up with some pretty rad data through fascinating studies like these.

1. Twitter got help from the real world
Researchers at MIT looked at Twitter data from over 400 U.S. cities with the highest rates of new tweeters from 2006 to 2009. They found that online hype is no replacement for real-world word-of-mouth and coverage by old-school media outlets. As the video shows, there was a "contagion process" that fueled Twitter's growth in areas of the country that are geographically close to each other.

2. #Unhappiness is so hot right now
If Twitter users are representative of the world at large, we've been one sad human race lately. University of Vermont scientists did a study to try to measure society's happiness by rating 10,000 common English words as they appear in the Twitter universe and tallying the scores. After scoring 46 billion words, they found happiness has been declining since 2009, falling quicker in the first half of 2011. Bummer

Apply directly for temporary teachers, Wee tells schools

JOHOR BARU (Jan 2, 2012): Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr We Ka Siong says Chinese and Tamil primary schools can apply directly to state education departments for temporary teachers, China Press reported yesterday.

He said the ministry’s secretary-general has issued a directive to state education departments to handle such applications.

He urged headmasters of schools facing a shortage of teachers when school reopens to liaise with state education directors.

Wee disclosed this during a dialogue with Johor Baru Chinese school development committee and Johor Dong Lian (United Chinese schools Committee, an affiliate of Dong Zong) in Johor Baru on Sunday.

He also said the ministry’s human resource management division will dispatch graduate temporary teachers to fill vacancies in secondary schools facing a shortage of teachers.

He said these graduates can be called “interim teachers” as they will be sent to schools temporarily without being vetted first by the Malaysian Education Service Commission.

The purpose of this scholarship is to promote bilateral arrangement with partner countries on government to government basis, and to encourage students from other countries to study in Malaysia with the view to facilitate future collaboration and exchange of scholars in enhancing educational cooperation between Malaysia and partner countries.Malaysian International Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies are available for postgraduate studies at Masters and PhD level tenable at Malaysian Universities. We were informed that there are some students who already recieved offer through phone calls or letters to further thier studies at KV, SMT or SMV.
