No Malaysian Student Admitted to Harvard in Two Consecutive Years

Starting from 1985 until 2010, hundreds of hopeful Malaysian students applied to Harvard University. Every year, at least one applicant will be successful.  But for the last two years now, there has been no admission of Malaysian students into Harvard University.

Applicants from Malaysia, for the last two years, were deemed unfit in terms of quality and skill. According to Harvard, although armed with excellent results and straight A’s, what they look for in a student now is passion and the will to strive for excellence, not just on exam papers, but also in life in general.

Straight A’s sounds good on paper, but the real deal is in the quality of the student’s personality. Don’t just focus on excelling in exams; explore your talents and passion as well. In a dog eat dog world, knowing how to ace an exam alone is not enough. It all depends on how much you want to succeed in life.
