Study Awards for lucky students

IT WAS a happy day for 10 students of Confucian Private Secondary School when they were each presented with a FC Yap Scholarship worth RM1,000 from the Lions Club of Subang Jaya.

The school’s principal, Phoon Wing Keong said that the Lions Club of Subang Jaya had always shown enthusiasm towards public welfare besides extending full support for Chinese education.

He advised the scholarship recipients to study hard, and repay their alma mater and the kindness that society has shown them.

The lucky recipients were Hon Jen Nee, Khor Zhen Kang, Chong Jia Le, Siong Yen Ting, Chong Zhy Xin, Lim Qiao Choo, Chen Li Kim, Ong Tze Shern, Low Soon Hoong and Yee Ken Lon

A RM10,000 mock cheque was presented by the president of the Subang Jaya Lions Club Major Patrick Chong Ah Watt to the vice-chairman of the school’s Board of Governors Ng Wee Yiew.
Ng thanked Chong saying that the scholarships would help students overcome their financial problems and enable them to focus on their studies. The school is a non-profit education institution.
