The following are some detail about Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah Foundation Scholarship offer. Please read carefully before submitting your application.
Sunway University has set aside 15 community scholarships per year for ‘budding potentials’ from the age of 18 – 25, recommended from children welfare homes, NGOs or poor communities
Scholarship Participating Programmes
Jeffrey Cheah scholarship are offered to those interested in pursuing their education in the following areas of study:
Diploma in Business Administration
Diploma in Hotel Management
Diploma in Events Management
Diploma in Information Technology
Diploma in Graphic and Multimedia Design
BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance/ BSc (Hons) Marketing
BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Studies
BSc (Hons) Business Management/ BSc (Hons) Business Studies
BSc (Hons) Biology with Psychology/ BSc (Hons) Medical Biotechnology/ BSc (Hons) Psychology
BSc (Hons) in Computer Science/ BSc (Hons) Information Systems/ BSc (Hons) Information Technology
Eligibility Criteria
1. Malaysian aged 18 to 25 years from residential care homes, community centers or poor and needy community with household income lesser than RM 18,000 per annum.
2. SPM/ O-Levels/ UEC/ STPM and other equivalent qualification.
3. Meet minimum entry requirements of programme applied.
Value of Scholarship
The scholarship covers:
1. Full tuition fees
2. Accommodation at our apartment hostel (Accommodation at Sun-U apartment)
3. Book purchases
4. Monthly allowance
5. Scholarship recipients are required to pay the RM750 refundable deposit for programme enrollment and accommodation
